Message From Our President
The Durham Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. has an extraordinarily rich history. Founded on October 9, 1945, the Durham chapter was the very first chapter in the MARvelous Mid-Atlantic Region and the sixth in the entire country! I'm proud to share that mothers and teens from our chapter are impacting the very fabric of our wonderful organization through leadership on both the National and Regional levels.
Jack and Jill of America Inc's National Vice President, Claudia, N. Curtis, hails from the Durham Chapter. Our Immediate Past Regional Director, Chanda Douglas-Ward also proudly calls the Durham Chapter home. Carol Bolden Stone-El is our organization's National Archivist. Audrey Kemp Curry serves as the Regional Protocol Chair and I am serving my second term as National Chair for the Strategic Partnerships Taskforce. Immediate Past Chapter Treasurer Nakenge Robertson is serving on the Regional Budget and Finance Committee and Misty Drake is serving as an alternate for the Regional Nominating Committee. LaShana Broussard Morris is serving on the Regional Investment Committee.
While I'm so very proud of the leadership role our mothers hold at the region and national level, I'm even MORE proud to share about a few of our teen leaders from the Durham Chapter.
